TEP 130  PVC Cellular Type 18-20mm Pitch Small Medium Evaporative Cooling Tower Module Drift Eliminators

Nesting Cellular Drift Eliminator is designed for crossflow applications requiring very low drift levels with minimal airside pressure drop, meaning lower fan horsepower requirements. The nesting D15 model provides seamless drift removal by eliminating gaps between adjacent packs, while also allowing for varied pack stiffness and span capability options.

In every cooling tower, there is evaporative water loss to the environment. When liquid water becomes entrained in the leaving air stream, however, drift eliminators are used to minimize the amount of water carried out of the cooling tower with the exhaust air. These water droplets carry the same concentration of impurities as are typically found in cooling towers. Drift eliminators are designed to prevent the droplets and mist from escaping by capturing the droplets and sending them back into the tower. Efficient drift eliminators will keep drift losses to less than .001% of the recirculating water flow rate.

Drift eliminators are designed to capture large water droplets caught in the cooling tower air stream. The eliminators prevent the water droplets and mist from escaping the cooling tower.

Crossflow Cellular Drift Eliminators are constructed of an alternating series of corrugated and wave PVC sheets, assembled to form closed cells. The closed cell structure yields the greatest surface area for droplet capture in a given volume. The latest generation of cellular drift eliminators are specifically engineered for crossflow applications to maximize drift removal efficiency and minimize pressure drop.

Significantly block sunlight (70:1 light reduction) to reduce algae growth on interior surfaces of the cooling tower system,
thus reducing the cost of algae-removal chemicals and labor.
• Reduces noise leaving the tower through the louver modules by approximately three decibels.
• Achieves very low pressure drop results.
• Pre-assembled modules available in a variety of lengths.
• Optional Assembly frames made of extruded PVC available for easy installation and access for cleaning and maintenance (mounting flanges available on 1, 2, or all 4 sides).
• Rigid, UV-stabilized PVC meets Cooling Technology Institute Standard 136.

Drift eliminators improve air flow into the cooling tower, keep out debris, eliminate water splash-out (which can cause icing, near-site water damage, and costly water and water treatment chemical loss), restrict the amount of sunlight into the cooling tower (to impede algae growth), reduce noise from the tower, and improve the tower's appearance.
Material : constructed of UV-stabilized PVC. This compound has outstanding resistance to weather exposure and is nearly impervious to chemical degradation by alkalis, acids, greases, fats, oils, and biological attacks. It also has an excellent fire rating due to its self-extinguishing characteristics and meets or exceeds Cooling Technology Institute Standard 136. We also have PP and CPVC material which can meet the water high temperature requirement.
The drift eliminator thickness can be 65mm,125mm,150mm,etc. The loose sheet is cut from the whole pvc thermoformed sheet.

Cellular drift eliminators are designed for applications requiring low drift levels with minimal airside pressure drop, meaning lower fan horsepower requirements. They combine high drift elimination with low pressure drop, yielding an efficient drift eliminator panel with drift loss of 0.003%. Constructed of 15-mil (after forming) PVC corrugated sheets and heavy, 30-mil stiffener sheets, the panels are designed to interlock to form a leak-tight integrated installed assembly. The packs are solvent-bonded to provide stiff, rugged, 24-inch-wide panels in lengths up to 10 feet.
