Molded fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) grating provides corrosion resistance in the most demanding environments. Manufactured by combining thermosetting resin with continuous fiberglass rovings in precision molds, each panel contains approximately 65% resin and 35% fiberglass rovings. This combination optimizes corrosion resistance, UV protection, and structural integrity.
Fiberglass Grating is a lightweight and sound alternative to Steel or Aluminum Gratings. Corrosion-resistant and fire-retardant, this product line is ideal for use outdoors or in corrosive environments.
Surface type
> Concave Surface (meniscus profile) - This is how the grating comes naturally out of the mold. The raised edges form a lip which offers slip resistance.

FRP Molded Grating is a structural panel which uses high-strength E-Glass roving as reinforcing material, thermosetting resin as matrix and then casted and formed in a special metal mold. It provides properties of light weight, high strength, corrosion resistance, fire resistance and anti-skid. FRP Molded Grating is widely used in oil industry, power engineering, water & waste water treatment, ocean survey as working floor, stair tread, trench cover, etc. and is an ideal loading frame for corrosion circumstances.

Feature
1. Corrosion Resistance
Different types of resin provide their own different anti-corrosion properties, which could be used in different corrosion circumstance such as acid, alkali, salt, organic solvent (in gas or liquid form) and the like over a long period.
2. Fire Resistance
Our special formula provide grating with excellent fire resistant performance. Our FRP gratings pass ASTM E-84 Class 1.
3. Light Weight & High Strength
The perfect combination of the continuous E-glass roving and thermosetting polyester resin provide grating with light weight and high strength and its specific gravity is only 1/4 of that of steel, 1/3 of aluminum. Its rigidity is up to and even exceeds that of steel. Different thickness and mesh size bring the client more choice.
4. Safety & Anti-slip
The high modulus of elasticity and various surfaces provided the super anti-skid performances. Its surface could be smooth surface, meniscus surface, grit surface and chequered plate cover which is suitable for different working places.
5. Electrical Insulating
High strength E-glass roving and high-grade resin provide the product super electric performance. Its electric break strength could reach 10KV/mm. There is no electric spark even when impact by tools, meanwhile it is non-magnetism. FRP Molded Grating could be used safely under the antiknock, diamagnetism and electric-resistance environments.
6. Aging Resistance
The high-grade resin and anti-ageing stabilizer provide grating long-life ageing resistant performance and the unique design make grating excellent self-cleanness function and keep its brightness and strength over a long time. The service life of grating could be 25 years.

Production Process
FRP molded grating is a product made with unsaturated resin as the matrix and fiberglass roving as the skeleton. It is formed by weaving and molding on the metal mold or hand lay-up and then integrally shaped by heating.
1. Stirring raw materials
Resin, fiberglass fiber yarn, calcium powder filling, color paste, reagents, etc. are arranged in proportion, stirring for 20 minutes.
2. Pouring material
Pouring the mixed raw materials onto the mold machine corresponding to the FRP grating.
3. Draw yarn
Lay the alkali-free yarn layer by layer to improve the strength of the FRP grating.
4. Compression mold
The stirred raw materials are poured into the mold and compacted mechanically or manually.
5. Heat curing
After the grating is heated for 20 minutes, the raw materials and yarn are fused together.
6. Cooling demoulding, mold lifting
After the above process is completed, cooling for 10 minutes demolding, mold lifting, semi-finished grating finished.
7. Grinding, painting and washing
The FRP grating is polished and washed with a layer of varnish or water.
Package
1. Protected by stretch film.
2. Fasten by packing banding and packed on pallet.
3. Grating corners are protected by thick papercard.
